These are the announcement poster and exhibition items for an exhibition held in Ebisu, Tokyo, with the theme of Katachi (shapes).

Printed material on paper using ink. The world spread over this flat surface exists as a completely different dimension from the world of reality where we live. The concept of time passing does not exist, in fact, time has stopped in the world of print and is no longer influenced by the real world. The individual world created on a piece of paper is unique. However, we go on with our lives seeing printed material as if there were nothing out of the ordinary and never question this fact.

This exhibition focuses on the border between the worlds of print and reality, which are separated by the passing of time. The addition of new shapes to the concept of printed material creates a change in the borders between print and reality. The exhibition provides different views on printed material and creates new impressions for viewers.

The deformed 2D poster appears 3D, protruding and receding, and gives the illusion that the contents are moving in real time. Seen with one eye, the effects can be stronger. This is a work that raises questions about the conventional rule that posters should be square.
